This three-day camp offers a fantastic opportunity for young players from U7 to U16 to improve their rugby skills under the guidance of top-level coaches, including professional players and National League talent.

What to Expect

Over three days, the kids will be trained by Petersfield RFC 1st XV players and guest coaches, providing expert tuition across all areas of the game. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your passing, work on your fitness, or fine-tune your tactical understanding, this camp will provide the tools and support to develop your game.

Time: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Drop-off from 8:45 AM; Pick-up by 3:45 PM)

Price: £30 per day or £75 for all three days

Players must come prepared with appropriate footwear, a gum shield, weather-appropriate clothing, and a packed lunch/snacks for each day.

Special Guest Coaches

We are especially excited to welcome two high-profile guest coaches to this year’s camp:

Connor Slevin
Current Club: Harlequins
A current member of the Harlequins Premiership squad, Connor brings top-tier experience to the camp. His involvement in the 2024/25 season means participants will get direct insights from a player competing at the highest level of English rugby. This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the game's rising stars.

Matt Walsh
Current Club: Tonbridge Juddians (National 2 East)
Matt has had an impressive rugby career, having played for Rotherham Titans in the Championship and making appearances for Worcester Warriors and Auckland Blues. His extensive experience, both nationally and internationally, offers invaluable lessons for young players looking to elevate their game.

Meet the Coaches

In addition to our guest coaches, the kids will also benefit from the expertise of Petersfield RFC 1st XV players and coaches:

Liam Perkins
With over 200 National League caps and stints with Worthing Raiders, Liam has recently taken on a player/coach role at Petersfield. His vast experience in National League rugby and his transition to coaching will provide players with exceptional insight into high-level competition.

Nick Blumlein
Nick has been a Petersfield player since he was 5 years old. Now, 1st XV fly-half and the top points scorer for the 2023/24 season, Nick looks to bring his leadership and extensive knowledge on the field to his coaching efforts, coaching the Under 18s at Petersfield for the 24/25 season.

Franko Tomic
Originally from Croatia, Franko has played for Petersfield for over ten years and is now an integral part of the senior setup. Although spending his Saturday in the engine room for our 1st XV, Franko is also expanding his role as a coach, making him a valuable asset in helping younger players grow.

Joe Knowles
Having played for Petersfield since the age of 6, Joe broke into the 1st XV as a full-back in the 2023/24 season. Joe’s experience in school rugby at Churchers College and his progression to senior rugby will offer young players the inspiration they need to take their game to the next level.
