PRFC forward Michael Downes will be running the Bath Half Marathon in March in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young.
The charity Michael is running for is a small one aiming to reduce the numbers of sudden cardiac death in young people by improving screening processes. This is a very poignant cause for Petersfield RFC as it one of our former players Pete Cox died very suddenly of a suspected heart attack in 2008 at the age of 20.
Michael has played for the club since the age of 6 and has played for the club again this season after finishing University. He is now moving away to live in London. Michael’s family have been involved in the club for some time, and his father Steve was for many years Youth Chairman..
Michael has asked if we can put his fundraising website on the club website so that all PRFC supporters will be aware of it:
