7. Women's Rugby


It is about confidence and contact, fitness and femininity, pride and performance. Women's rugby is on the rise and there are lots of ways to get involved.

O2 Touch
Whether it's about rediscovering sport, honing your fitness or tapping into that inner warrior, O2 Touch is a fun and friendly environment for both men and women of all abilities to get involved in touch rugby. This is social fitness at its best. The sessions are sociable and inclusive, giving you the perfect opportunity to run out with friends and meet new people and become part of a unity of strength. Our TouchBase and TouchLeague events allow you to play at a time and at a level that suits you.

Warrior Camps
Warrior Camps are held regularly at clubs across the country and are a fun-packed, commitment-free way for females to get outside, get muddy and experience the dynamic, exhilarating sport of rugby for the first time. With plenty of help on hand, we will introduce you to the basics of rugby – passing, kicking and tackling, coupled with enjoyable fitness routines – helping you step out of your comfort zone and unearth your Inner Warrior.

15-a-side contact
15-a-side is the most common form of the sport - England are current World Champions! There’s a position for everyone in the 15-a-side team. Lots of rugby clubs across the country field a women's team and will welcome new players at any time of the year. It doesn't matter whether you've played the game before or are completely new to it, your local club will give you advice on how to get stuck in and release your inner warrior.

Sevens
Sevens is a global sport with a huge following, and activities take place all over England. With only seven players in each team, it means more ground for each person to cover and more possession of the ball for each player – creating a faster, freer opportunity to unleash your inner warrior. It is a game that really exploits the basics of rugby – running, passing, tackling and decision making, and you will need speed, skill and stamina.
