A valiant effort from Field’s Vets was totally eclipsed by a powerful display by their visitors and they went down to an 80-0 whitewashing. Field put together some good phases of play but were unable to convert any pressure into points against a team who play regularly in the Hampshire North league – the same as Field’s 2s - and have conceded only one loss in their thirteen league games this season. By contrast, this is the Field old-boy’s only run-out so far this season.
